This couple had said their official "I Do's" in a private surprise ceremony during their rehearsal the day before their big wedding day. They wanted that moment to be sacred and knew that the hustle and bustle of a big wedding has the potential to take away from what truly matters. We have all heard about the wedding drama that can ensue at any given wedding. Perhaps, this was their own intuition.
We will admit we have seen many things go awry with wedding plans, but no wedding day has had so many misfortunes as Carla and Travis's wedding celebration. We could not have empathized with these two more. First the groom and groomsmen suits were the wrong size and missing ties. We were not able to get any guys getting ready photos as they were rushing around Medicine Hat Mall completing their ensemble last minute.
Then there were problems with vendors being in the wrong place, not showing up, unfinished work and incomplete orders. By the end of the night, the bride had had enough! Fortunately, some good friends only reminded how special it was that their REAL wedding day was already over and this was just for fun. We had Captain Pork in Police Point Park for supper that night. What's better than that!
These two looked so relaxed by the time they had their first dance. Alright maybe after a few drinks with their family and friends didn't hurt. We just hope they were able to enjoy their celebration appreciating how special their small surprise wedding had become.
