Don't let anyone tell you that a wedding in the middle of the week is any less exciting or eventful than a weekend wedding. Lindsey and Jeremy had the most spectacular weekday wedding! I am not just saying that because it just happened to be my birthday that day either.
First off, they opted to see each other before the ceremony and those first looks are always special. Afterwards, we took portraits inside the exotic interior of Lethridge Lodge followed by pictures in the snow. The groom's sister from New Zealand had never seen snow before travelling down for his wedding. Luckily there was no shortage of snow that day. Needless to say, we didn't spend too long in the snow.
Their ceremony at Southminster Church was so perfect! When the videophrapher and I walked into this stunning venue, we were immediately blown away by the immense size and majestic features. It was amazing. But then... we were taken to the chapel area where the ceremony was actually being held. It was so much smaller, but the floor to ceiling stain glass window took our breath away.
The bride and groom also took me to CASA for more pictures. It had the coolest mirror wall! I could not wait to photograph it. However, I did not realize the mirrors actually move, so it really increased the difficulty level. Before the sun went down, the couple took us to the graveyard to pay tribute to a lost loved one. The final stop was taking a quick picture at Lighthouse Japanese Restaurant where the two had their very first date.
The reception at Lethbridge Lodge was beautifully decorated and the cake display was out of this world with surprise purple gradient layers. The best "birthday cake" I had ever had! The speeches were heartfelt, but the game at the end was irresistibly fun. They blind folded the bride to test her ability to pick her husband's arm out of a line up. And guess what... she did! Perhaps a small sign that these two are perfect for each other.
