Alyssa + Josh's Medalta Wedding | Medicine Hat Wedding Photographers

This wedding was total DIY insanity! When we think about how many hours and the number of family and friends involved in pulling off this spectacular wedding day, we are just blown away. Everything was made just for Alyssa and Josh from the bouquets to the centre pieces and from the teal circle garland stretching across the Medalta Pottery Courtyard to the hanging mason jar lights in front of the pottery kiln - not to mention the unbelievable dessert buffet... oh my, the dessert buffet!

Alright, seriously... Can you ever have TOO much cake? With Alyssa and Josh's expansive dessert table, guests never had to make the tough decision of choosing just one. The buffet table was so long, we could not fit all of it in one photo. There were literally 4 different wedding cakes including one gluten free cake, cupcakes, cake push-pops, shortcake, cheesecake, fruit crisps, fruit pies, fruit skewers, fruit dipped in chocolate, dessert in cups, dessert in jars - even ice cream! All of it had been made and served by family.

With all of these personal touches, it was a very sentimental wedding. There was laughter and oh so many tears from both the bride and the groom. It started with a surprise gift from Alyssa that broke Josh down. Later, the father of the groom recited an emotional poem he had written that just about had all of the guests saying "Awww". Finally, Josh's speech to his lovely new wife at the end of the night had everyone in tears. It was a beautiful way to wrap-up a perfect day.
