Sydney + Ryan's Echo Dale Engagement Session

It feels like forever ago since we got together for Sydney and Ryan's engagement session in Medicine Hat at Echo Dale Farm. These two traveled from Saskatchewan while planning their Elkwater wedding to meet with vendors such as Katie Jalbert who did Sydney's makeup for the session. I am just so happy we were able to meet, too.

The weather was not great, but these two pushed through the cold to get these photos while they were in town. Myself, I was all bundled up, so we made sure they stayed close to keep each other warm (or warm-er at least).

Luckily the weather is guaranteed to be much nicer on their wedding day this coming July. I look forward to catching up with Sydney and Ryan soon. So many things have probably changed since we first met, but one thing is likely the same - how beautiful these two are together! Count down to wedding season has begun!

Serena + Kodin's Medicine Hat Golf & Country Club Wedding

Wedding days can be stressful to say the least, but when things don't go quite as planned things can get a little overwhelming for the couple. Once the bride or groom start to show anxiety, everyone will feel the pressure to do what they can to ensure the couple enjoys the best day possible.

One of the first things that can put a "damper" on your wedding plans is weather. For Serena and Kodin, that is exactly what happened. They had planned on a scenic outdoor wedding at Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club with the spectacular view of the coulees and South Saskatchewan River. However, when the rain started to pour, friends and family banded together to move the ceremony inside the clubhouse and the dream of perfect outdoor portraits had to be moved indoors, too.

Fortunately, for these two, as the day progressed the rain stopped and the sun started to shine. Serena compared the weather to her mood. She was so anxious at the beginning of the day with the stormy weather and uncertainty of how the day would play out. But when things came together and turned out well, she felt a huge weight had been lifted just as the clouds. The sun was shining and the evening ended with the most perfect sunset portraits outside.

Words from the Bride:
"I just wanted to give a big huge THANK YOU to these wonderful folks! We worked mainly with Andrea Woods and she is one beautiful soul! She did an amazing job on our family, engagement and my boudoir pics and our wedding pictures. The professionalism is outstanding and the quality is second to none! Small details like making sure lighting is perfect or helping with us pose just right show the pride in workmanship, not to mention they are just so friendly you'll feel like you made life long friends! I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much again."
